About Company
The Swedish Business Council (SBC) is a non-profit membership organisation promoting business and investment between the Middle East, and the United Arab Emirates in particular, and Sweden. The organisation was established in 1994 and has today more than 100 members, both companies and individuals.
Our Vision is: "To support and promote the Swedish community and its business interests in the UAE and to encourage relations between Sweden and the UAE".
Our Mission Statements are:
Developing propositions in which Swedish and local companies can discuss business opportunities, adding value to both communities
Developing and reinforcing a social platform and networking opportunities for people with Swedish interests in the UAE through social gatherings, presentations, seminars, exhibitions and other events
Together with the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden, supporting and promoting the local Swedish business community and its businessmen in the UAE
Making use of and reinforcing the brand of Sweden using Swedish core values
Together with other Swedish organizations represented in the UAE, contributing towards the best of Sweden and the best of the UAE
Working with other Business and Trade Councils as well as Chambers of Commerce, to broaden the networking opportunities for the members
Our prime role is to support the Swedish business community in the region by assisting in networking, informing about business rules and regulations in the region. We are also a social platform for people with Swedish interests. SBC works closely the Swedish Embassies and Business Sweden in the Middle East as well as with other Business Councils and Chambers of Commerce. SBC is part of a valuable network for business and we are your point of reference when living or doing business in the Emirates.
